Scope:
A larger standby generator and fuel tank required changes to the Federal Transfer Center’s utility yard in Oklahoma City. The Federal Transfer Center Oklahoma City Emergency Generator Replacement scope included a 2,500 kW diesel generator, a 4,000 A automatic transfer switch with bypass isolation, replacement feeders, and a 10,000 gallon fuel tank with pumps and leak monitoring. Our team designed a new standby power system for the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City through its Federal Bureau of Prisons IDIQ contract. The larger equipment required expansion of the utility yard and relocation of an existing wall to provide generator airflow and maintenance space. The replacement increased the facility’s backup power capacity and operating duration.
