Scope:

The Vickery Meadow Community Center was an adaptive reuse of a decommissioned City of Dallas fire station into a multi tenant community and court center offering social services alongside other community organizations. Our team supported the Vickery Meadow Community Center project in Dallas, Texas. Pursuing Living Building Challenge sustainability goals, the 6,200 square foot building was designed to produce more energy than it consumed. The mechanical scope used an energy model paired with high efficiency DX units, and the electrical scope included a grid tied rooftop photovoltaic system sized to achieve 105% of the building’s annual energy needs, feeding a new power distribution system with per tenant sub metering. The $1,000,000 renovation was completed in 2019.
