Scope:

Ten constant current regulators and 49 airfield lighting circuits were central to DFW’s runway and taxiway lighting upgrades. Our team provided electrical design for runway and taxiway lighting upgrades at DFW International Airport. The $3.5 million project replaced 10 constant current regulators and redesigned the 5 kV ductbank serving 49 airfield lighting circuits. Completed in 2013, the work addressed airfield electrical infrastructure under FAA requirements. Design considerations included circuit routing, lighting locations, electrical connections, and protection of existing airfield infrastructure. Construction sequencing addressed the interfaces between pavement work, lighting installation, and airport operations.
