Scope:

Texas Youth Commission Al Price Facility called for close coordination between operational spaces and building services. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for a renovation at the Al Price State Juvenile Correctional Facility in Beaumont, Texas, serving the Texas Youth Commission. The 137,000 square foot project’s electrical work focused on upgrading door locks and controls, along with additional lighting and receptacles; mechanical and plumbing equipment was replaced with new units. The building systems planning covered production or service areas, equipment spaces, storage, and staff support facilities. The HVAC approach accounted for ventilation and equipment heat loads matched to operational uses. Our power and lighting planning considered process equipment power, task lighting, and electrical distribution capacity. Plumbing planning addressed water and drainage needs coordinated with operational equipment.
