Scope:

Barracks renovation at Fort Polk brought military residential spaces and their supporting systems into the engineering work. Our team provided engineering for the renovation of Building 2277 barracks at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The $17 million design build project, awarded to Sauer Inc. in 2018, was part of a $500 million, 10 year program to modernize 34 barracks buildings across the installation, with a ribbon cutting held in November 2022. The renovation was a full gut of the existing structure, replacing the roof, exterior walls, windows, fire protection systems, interior walls, and plumbing, and reconfiguring two bedroom units into larger one bedroom suites to improve soldiers’ quality of life. The project value was $17,000,000.
