Denver University – STEM Horizons
Scope:
The research spaces at University of Denver STEM Horizons brought distinct demands for air, power, and utility coordination. Our team supported the University of Denver’s STEM Horizons project. The life sciences program centered on an approximately 87,000 square foot building with BSL 2 research laboratories and undergraduate teaching laboratories. The building was planned to achieve net zero energy performance within a $100 million program. For laboratories, equipment rooms, preparation areas, and research support spaces, the design considered ventilation and temperature control, power and lighting, and the utility connections needed for daily use. Layouts accounted for the different demands of occupied rooms, equipment areas, and support functions.
