Scope:

Upgrades to the University of Northern Colorado Gray Hall Data Center strengthened the systems that keep campus computing equipment running. Our team provided mechanical and electrical engineering for the data center serving the University of Northern Colorado. Typical upgrade work for a data center of this type includes added cooling capacity, airflow management around server racks, redundant power paths, uninterruptible power and backup generation, and monitoring and controls, along with planning for service interruptions and access for installation and maintenance. Design considerations included equipment heat loads, electrical loads, feeder routing, grounding, and integration with existing distribution.
