Scope:
At NIST Swing Lab TI, the engineering began with the relationship between laboratory equipment and the building around it. Our team provided mechanical and electrical engineering for NIST, Swing Lab TI, serving National Institute of Standards and Technology. The mechanical and electrical scope covered the system upgrades. The building systems planning covered laboratories, equipment rooms, preparation areas, and research support spaces. The HVAC approach accounted for laboratory supply and exhaust air, pressure relationships, and equipment heat loads. Our power and lighting planning considered instrument power, laboratory lighting, and distribution coordinated with equipment layouts.
