Scope:

Upgrades to the Nordstrom data center improved the reliability of the cooling, humidity control, and emergency power systems that keep computing equipment running. The work combined analysis of the data center’s cooling loads, cooling system upgrades, humidification, and emergency power improvements. Our team provided mechanical and electrical engineering for the facility, serving Nordstrom. Cooling upgrades addressed equipment heat loads, airflow around server racks, and service access, while humidification maintained stable humidity for sensitive equipment. Emergency power upgrades considered electrical loads, equipment clearances, feeder routing, grounding, and integration with existing distribution, with planning for service interruptions and access for installation and maintenance.
