Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line Equipment Maintenance Facility

Scope:
Daily cleaning, inspection, and refueling were the purpose of DART’s Silver Line layover maintenance facility in Plano. Our team supported DART’s Silver Line Equipment Maintenance Facility in Plano. The $9 million, approximately 24,000 square foot layover facility supported cleaning, inspection, and refueling of Silver Line vehicles between service runs. The facility supplemented primary fleet maintenance at the Joint Rail Operations Facility. Engineering planning addressed lighting coverage, electrical service, equipment connections, and routing along the transportation corridor. Design also considered maintenance access and coordination with roadway or rail operations.
