Position Overview:
As a Fire Protection Engineer at MultiPoint, you will design fire sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump and special-hazard suppression systems for healthcare, aviation, industrial and public facilities. You will perform hydraulic calculations, prepare drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, and advise clients on code-compliant design options.
You will coordinate with the other disciplines, perform quality control on drawings, and manage deliverables to meet project deadlines. Previous experience at an A/E firm is a plus but not required.

Hazardous ventilation requirements and design
Electrically classified (hazardous) locations
Spill control & secondary containment
Protection for special hazards - eg. foam/water suppression and gas/flame detection
FM Global Datasheets
Suppression design basis for flammable and combustible liquid storage
Combustible dust hazard evaluation
Chemical processing and associated unit operations
Design of fire suppression systems
AutoCAD and Revit experience
Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (Fire Protection).
Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20 and 72 and FM Global data sheets.
Experience with hydraulic calculations and special-hazard suppression design.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
