Scope:
Lancaster’s fleet shop was designed around CNG vehicles, with methane detection linked to alarms, ventilation, and electrical shutdown. Our team designed building systems for the City of Lancaster’s 12,505 square foot fleet maintenance facility, completed in 2015 and 2016. The building included eight service bays, parts storage, and offices for a fleet that used compressed natural gas. Electrical work included a generator docking station, digital lighting controls, and methane detection linked to alarms, ventilation, bay doors, fire department notification, and electrical shutdown. Mechanical systems included gas fired outside air heating and explosion proof exhaust fans serving six vehicle exhaust hose reels.
