Dallas ISD’s H.S. Thompson Elementary brings classrooms, a media center, a storm shelter, and shared student spaces into a 60,000 square foot campus. Our team provided electrical, fire detection, fire protection, technology, security, and audiovisual engineering for Dallas ISD’s H.S. Thompson Elementary School. The $25 million, 60,000 square foot campus serves up to 450 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. The two story school includes 23 core classrooms, a gymnasium, cafeteria, library, media center, and storm shelter, with spaces supporting its STEAM curriculum. Spaces considered in the design include classrooms, collaboration areas, administration, and student support spaces.
