Scope:
Increasing server room cooling within the same mechanical footprint was the challenge at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s hardened command center. Our team redesigned cooling for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s hardened command center in Fort Worth. The approximately 1,100 square foot server room had to remain operational throughout the $2.5 million renovation. The design replaced existing cooling with Liebert Extreme Density units and introduced a hot aisle and cold aisle layout. The solution increased cooling capacity to roughly six times the original capacity within the same mechanical footprint and provided redundancy to limit the effect of a single unit failure.
