Scope:

Kaufman County built a new justice center to provide a safe and functional space to meet the needs of the court and its staff, along with the overall security of inmate transportation throughout the building for court proceedings. The building also provided the space needed to meet the challenges of the county�s continued growth. This new sustainable center was home to all justice courts, the district attorney, district clerk, county clerk, pre trial division, and justice of the peace departments. Spaces included offices for county officials and staff, secure detention facilities, and waiting areas and conference rooms, serving public use. The complete facility housed the Justice Center, a law enforcement center, and a new pet adoption center, each in its own respective building. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for the project. The project covered 99,300 square feet with a project value of $37,000,000.
