Scope:
The way the facility operates shapes our work at Laughlin Air Force Base Renovations. Our team provided fire alarm renovation engineering at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas, part of a broader Air Education and Training Command (AETC) funded renovation of the base’s exchange facility. The approximately $6,000,000 renovation program included fire alarm system replacement along with roofing, HVAC, and LED lighting upgrades, culminating in a grand reopening held April 16, 2025. Spaces considered in the design include production or service areas, equipment spaces, storage, and staff support facilities. For mechanical systems, we consider ventilation and equipment heat loads matched to operational uses.
