Scope:

Utility capacity and equipment space were early planning questions for UNT’s Business Leadership Building. Our team supported planning for the University of North Texas Business Leadership Building through utility drawing review, meetings with university staff, and development of the MEP basis of design. The team calculated preliminary heating, cooling, and electrical loads, established equipment footprints, and determined mechanical and electrical room sizes and locations. The approximately 180,000 square foot, $70 million academic building included offices, classrooms, a lecture hall, café, and student lounge and achieved LEED Platinum certification.
