Scope:
Art studios, fabrication labs, galleries, and classrooms gave UNT’s College of Visual Arts and Design a diverse set of systems to commission. Our team provided commissioning for the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design in Denton. The approximately 238,000 square foot renovation and expansion brought galleries, art studios, fabrication laboratories, photography and new media spaces, classrooms, and critique areas into a four story facility. The $70 million project was celebrated in 2019. For lecture rooms, teaching spaces, faculty offices, and shared student areas, the design considered ventilation and temperature control, power and lighting, and the utility connections needed for daily use. Layouts accounted for the different demands of occupied rooms, equipment areas, and support functions.
