Scope:
A building for both residents and officials alike, the new Administrative Courthouse spanned four floors and was available to the public, serving a variety of services. The building housed the County Treasurer, Constable Precinct, Justice of the Peace, financial offices, Commissioners Court, County Judge, County administration, and various other county related programs. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for the renovation, which carried a Historic Preservation designation. An earlier phase of the project relocated the Law Library to the second floor, redesigned the vacated space to accommodate the County Court, and added parking on the north side of the site. The project covered 96,000 square feet with a project value of $41,000,000.
