Garland City Hall Data Center and 911 Station
Representative Image
Scope:
Upgrades to the Garland City Hall data center and the city’s 911 station added redundancy to the systems that support critical computing and emergency call equipment. The scope included an 80 kVA UPS with maintenance bypass and two hours of backup for technology racks, fire alarm, 911 equipment, and access controls. Our team designed mechanical and electrical upgrades for two data rooms at Garland City Hall, where new computer room air conditioning units provided full cooling redundancy through remote condensers. The electrical design included redundant utility service, portable generator connections, and temporary power to maintain facility operations during construction. General data center improvements covered cooling, power protection, fire protection, technology, and access control.
