Village Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant
Scope:
Upgrades at the Village Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Fort Worth renewed and strengthened the equipment and systems that keep the plant treating wastewater around the clock. Our team provided mechanical and electrical engineering for the work. Mechanical upgrades addressed liquid and solids pump stations, pumps, blowers, air piping, deep media filter valves, and isolation gates, with added redundancy so that equipment can be taken out of service without interrupting treatment. Electrical upgrades covered power distribution, motor control, drives, and standby power for critical process equipment, along with improved controls and monitoring for operators. Design considered equipment capacity, existing infrastructure, maintenance access, and phasing so the plant stayed in operation during construction.
