Scope:

The Hunt County Courthouse Historic Restoration scope included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, data, and audiovisual system improvements, along with code and accessibility upgrades within the historic structure. Our team provided engineering for restoration of the 1929 Hunt County Courthouse. The 64,415 square foot building was rehabilitated to accommodate five courtrooms. The work was completed in 2017. The design considered courtrooms, judicial offices, public waiting areas, and secure support spaces. Our mechanical planning focused on quiet HVAC operation and separate zoning for public and secure areas. Electrical planning addressed courtroom lighting, equipment power, and electrical support for audiovisual use. For plumbing systems, we considered public and staff restroom systems and building water distribution.
