Scope:

Roanoke’s police headquarters and municipal court program includes dispatch, an emergency operations center, and a separate training building. Our team supported the Roanoke Police Department and Municipal Court project. The $46.5 million, 60,800 square foot program includes police headquarters, dispatch, and an emergency operations center that also serves as a storm shelter. A separate support building provides classrooms, offices, and a shooting range for department and regional agency training. For public reception, staff offices, interview and evidence areas, and operational support spaces, the design considers ventilation and temperature control, power and lighting, and the utility connections needed for daily use. Layouts account for the different demands of occupied rooms, equipment areas, and support functions.
