Scope:

Eight rooftop units, including four with energy recovery, served Fort Worth’s Chisholm Trail Community Center. Our team was part of the design team for a new 20,000 square feet community center, serving the City of Fort Worth, served by eight packaged rooftop units, four of which included energy recovery ventilators. The design challenge was delivering the wide range of ventilation rates required across a gymnasium, cardio room, aerobics room, and offices without over cooling any one space. our team’s engineers used energy recovery to cut mixed air temperatures at the cooling coil, reducing overall HVAC tonnage and operating cost compared to a conventional oversized unit approach for the $4,189,644 project.
