Scope:

The Grand Prairie Fire Station No. 3 project received a Notable Award in the 2022 Firehouse Magazine Station Design Awards. Our team provided engineering for Grand Prairie Fire Station No. 3 at 1201 West Marshall Drive. Completed in 2021, the $8.6 million, 19,358 square foot station replaced an older facility and included apparatus bays, training classrooms, and administrative offices. For apparatus bays, firefighter living quarters, training areas, and equipment support spaces, the design considered ventilation and temperature control, power and lighting, and the utility connections needed for daily use. Layouts accounted for the different demands of occupied rooms, equipment areas, and support functions.
