Scope:

Harris Health System, the Harris County, Texas public safety net healthcare system based in Houston that operates Ben Taub Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and a network of community health centers, was supported through our team’s recurring engineering assignments addressing equipment replacement, imaging and clinical space upgrades and building infrastructure coordinated with continuous patient care operations. For patient care rooms, treatment areas, clinical support spaces, and staff work areas, the design considered ventilation and temperature control, power and lighting, and the utility connections needed for daily use. Layouts accounted for the different demands of occupied rooms, equipment areas, and support functions.
