Scope:

Pacific Plaza turned a downtown Dallas parking site into a public park with a pavilion, lawns, and gathering areas. The Pacific Plaza Park project received an AIA Dallas Honor Award in 2020 and an Unbuilt Design Award in 2018. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for Pacific Plaza Park in downtown Dallas. The $15 million, 3.74 acre project replaced a surface parking lot with a pavilion, lawns, seating, play and gathering areas, event space, and park lighting. The planning included public gathering areas, circulation routes, recreation amenities, and site support facilities. Mechanical planning addressed conditioning and ventilation of enclosed park support spaces. For electrical systems, we considered site and pathway lighting, equipment power, and outdoor electrical distribution. The plumbing approach accounted for water service, irrigation interfaces, and drainage for public amenities.
