Southwest Airlines Operations Facility – Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
Representative Image
Scope:
Southwest Airlines converted existing ramp space at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport into an operations facility sized for its local ground crews. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and security engineering for the conversion in New Orleans, Louisiana. Because of the Gulf Coast climate, the mechanical design emphasized humidity control, corrosion-resistant equipment, and ventilation for spaces opening onto the ramp. Electrical design included standby power and equipment placement that considered storm and flood exposure. The converted space supported operations offices, crew rooms, and equipment staging areas, with fire protection, data cabling, access control, and camera coverage coordinated with the airport and the airline.
