United Airlines Operations Facility – George Bush Intercontinental Airport
Representative Image
Scope:
United Airlines converted existing ramp space at George Bush Intercontinental Airport into operations space for one of its largest hubs. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and security engineering for the conversion in Houston, Texas. Because the hub operates around the clock, the design prioritized redundant mechanical and electrical systems for operations and dispatch rooms, with generator backup and uninterruptible power for critical communications. The converted areas supported ramp operations offices, crew facilities, and equipment support spaces. Plumbing and fire protection were extended into the new layout, and technology and security work included structured cabling, radio and data infrastructure, access control, and video surveillance coordinated with airport and airline standards.
