Scope:

The UTSW NE PET/MRI Expansion scope included specialized power, shielding, and HVAC infrastructure required to support the expanded imaging equipment. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for the expansion of PET and MRI imaging capacity at a UT Southwestern Medical Center facility in Dallas, Texas. Spaces considered in the design included imaging rooms, equipment and control rooms, and patient preparation areas. For mechanical systems, we considered equipment cooling loads and environmental conditions specified for imaging equipment. The electrical approach accounted for equipment power and grounding coordinated with vendor installation requirements. Our water and drainage planning considered building water and drainage requirements coordinated with equipment and patient support spaces.
