Accommodating fire, life safety, and lock shop services, the facility will feature office suites, a multipurpose training space, property and evidence storage, a dispatch center, and workshop/warehouse space. Our team supported the West Texas A&M University Public Safety Facility project in Canyon, Texas. The Texas A&M University System is repurposing and renovating the north wing of the Palo Duro Research Center to provide a new public safety building for West Texas A&M University. The project will create a consolidated university police department by expanding and updating the substation at its location, and will also house WTAMU fire and safety functions with a shared emergency command center. Key spaces will include an armory, property and evidence storage, support services, administrative offices, patrol offices, and a multi purpose room. The project covers 21,000 square feet with a project value of $9,975,000.
