University of Denver School of Engineering and Computer Science
Scope:
Technical spaces included mechanical and electrical engineering labs, computer science and applied research labs, a dynamometer, vivarium, wet biological laboratories and a dedicated paint spray booth. Our team supported the DU School of Engineering and Computer Science project in Colorado. New engineering, computer science and aging research facility combining specialized research laboratories, teaching space and collaborative environments. The project included approximately 130,000 square feet. Spaces considered in the design included laboratories, equipment rooms, preparation areas, and research support spaces. For mechanical systems, we considered laboratory supply and exhaust air, pressure relationships, and equipment heat loads. The electrical approach accounted for instrument power, laboratory lighting, and distribution coordinated with equipment layouts.
