American Airlines Operations Facility – San Bernardino International Airport
Representative Image
Scope:
American Airlines converted existing ramp space at San Bernardino International Airport into an operations facility for its local ground crews. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and security engineering for the conversion in San Bernardino, California. Because of the Inland Empire’s hot, dry summers, the mechanical design emphasized cooling capacity, efficient equipment, and dust-resistant filtration for spaces opening onto the ramp. Electrical design included standby power, energy-efficient lighting, and seismic bracing of equipment in keeping with California requirements. The converted space supported operations offices, crew briefing rooms, and ground support equipment areas, with fire protection, structured cabling, access control, and camera coverage coordinated with the airport and the airline.
