Scope:

At Hurst Hotel and Convention Center, building systems followed the needs of both visitors and staff. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the Hilton Garden Inn and convention center in Hurst. The approximately 107,000 square foot project was completed through work between 2014 and 2017. Systems included electrical utilities and distribution, lighting controls, a natural gas emergency generator, HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection. The planning included performance or exhibit areas, public gathering spaces, and staff support rooms. Mechanical planning addressed quiet HVAC operation and ventilation for concentrated event occupancy. For electrical systems, we considered public and event lighting, equipment power, and electrical support for venue operations. The plumbing approach accounted for public restrooms and water and waste connections for support functions.
